Adovia Mineral Eye Gel: Review

Adovia is a company based out of Plainfield, IL, that specializes in manufacturing an innovate line of skin care products which have mineral-based formulas. Adovia offers the first line of skin care products which combines the elements of herbs and minerals; many of these ingredients come directly from The Dead Sea. These skin care products are formulated to not only give your skin a great outward appearance, but to renew it from the inside, also. Adovia’s products will replenish your skin cells, giving you a healthier and more youthful complexion.
Adovia offers a whole host of skin care products, including things such as facial moisturizers and serums, facial cleansers and toners, men’s facial care, acne care, natural body soap, body lotions and creams, body salt scrubs, natural shower gel, hair products, etc. Whether you are looking to diminish wrinkles, take a stand against acne, exfoliate and rejuvenate your skin, or just simply to moisturize and get smoother skin, Adovia has the answer.
I received the Adovia Mineral Eye Gel for the purpose of composing this review. I wanted to review this eye gel for a number of reasons. First, I had never tried a product that contained Dead Sea salt, and I have heard good things about what it can do for your skin. Second, my skin does not have the same vibrant and blemish-free quality that it did in my teen years, even though I am only in my early twenties. I have more problems now with tiny patches of acne and combination skin than I ever did before. I am up all hours of the night studying and really burning the candle at both ends. My skin definitely illustrates the difference in my sleep patterns, diet, and lifestyle in general. Though I do not yet have wrinkles, I am plagued by tired-looking eyes and skin that is some days too oily and other days too dehydrated and flaky. I read the description of Adovia’s Mineral Eye Gel, and I wondered what it might be able to do for me.

The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel is an “ultra-light” gel that is made for the area around and under your eyes. It contains things such as Aloe Vera, sweet almond oil, and Dead Sea minerals, which smooth and protect this delicate and sensitive area. The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel can help diminish wrinkles and fine lines that appear around the eyes, as well as to moisturize and hydrate your skin to help with under-eye issues such as dark circles and puffiness. Vitamins E and A in the eye gel also boost the health of your skin and help protect it from damage. The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel is great for all types of skin.
It is super easy to use! All you have to do is to apply a small area of eye gel to the area under and around your eyes under it is absorbed. You just have to do this daily — I recommend doing it in the morning before applying your beauty regimen, because it kept me in the habit of doing it, and I felt that was the best way to squash under eye puffiness. It did not at all affect the way that my foundation or other makeup went on.

The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel contains the following ingredients:
Demineralized water (aqua), sepigel 305 (polyacrylamide & laureth- 7 & c 13-14 isoparaffin), sweet almond (prunus amugdalus dulcis) oil, propylene glycol, jojoba (buxus chinensis) oil, polysorbate 20, chamomile (anthemis nobilis) extract, panthenol, carrot (daucus carota sativa) oil, olive (olea europaea) oil, grape (vitis vinifera) seed oil, rose hips oil, methylparaben, aloe barbadensis gel, dead sea salt, propylparaben, fragrance (supplement), tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate

The first thing I noticed about the Adovia Mineral Eye Gel was its consistency. This Eye Gel is, like it sounds, a GEL, and not a serum. It is very thick and a little goes a long way, so you don’t need to put giant globs of it under your eyes. Use it sparingly and it will last much longer! I applied less than a pea-sized amount of the gel under my eyes and around the edges of my eyes. It went on smoothly and my skin quickly absorbed it. There was no left over residue, sticky feeling, or anything that would turn me off to the product. The Adovia Mineral Eye Gel is so lightly touched with fragrance that it is almost fragrance-free — this is another important feature, because I hate creams and lotions that have very strong and pungent smells..I don’t like to put those anywhere near my face! I did find the Mineral Eye Gel to be very moisturizing. My only problem was that, for some reason, my very sensitive eyes were bothered for two or three minutes..they got a little red, but this happens with many products that I use close to my eyes. After two or three minutes, the stinging went away. After using the Adovia Mineral Eye Gel for awhile, I felt that it really helped with my puffy under eyes and that tired out look that I often have when I wake up in the morning (and also from my allergies). It kept that under-eye area feeling rejuvenated and healthy. I can’t make any remark on how Adovia’s Mineral Eye Gel works on wrinkles, but I am sure that it can help diminish very fine lines. Overall, I think this is a great product to use if you want to try and soften the look of dark, puffy under eye circles!

  1. I'm not a fan of strong scented products especially facial products. They can be irritating and it reminds me of an old lady. I like that this gel is not thick.

  2. I do like that you only need a small amount of this product. But I do not like to use a lot of gel around my eyes since they are so sensitive. My eyes tend to tear with products so I would be curious if this would be ok for me and I do need help with puffiness.twinkle at optonline dot net
