Barefaced Skincare’s Dead Sea Mud #Mask: Review

Barefaced Skincare Beauty Products

Barefaced Skincare is a company based out of Los Angeles who specializes in manufacturing natural skincare products. Barefaced Skincare uses organic, high-quality ingredients derived from the Earth to create unique, effective products that your skin will love. Their products are made in a USDA-certified organic facility in California. Barefaced Skincare provides great customer service, and wants to make sure that all of their customers have a positive experience.

Barefaced Skincare currently offers one product: the Dead Sea Mud Mask. I received one 6 oz. container of the mask for the purpose of conducting this review. I was excited, because I love products with ingredients coming from the Dead Sea, and my skin has an on again/off again issue with acne. Since I have been using skin peels and other products, my skin has been a lot better, but I still have the occasional outburst (especially around times of stress, as are many in medical school).

Barefaced Skincare’s Dead Sea Mud Mask is made with all-natural ingredients that are meant to serve a restorative purpose for any skin type or condition. This mask can be used by teenagers, adults, and any race or sex. People have used Dead Sea mud throughout the centuries in their beauty routines and for its healing powers. The only thing added to the Dead Sea Mud are supportive, organic ingredients, which are free from harsh chemicals and parabens.

The Barefaced Dead Sea Mud Mask contains the following ingredients:

Dead Sea Mud, Organic Shea Butter, Hickory Bark Extract, Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Aloe Vera Juice, Water, Organic Vegetable Glycerin, Organic Lavender Essential oil, Organic Eucalyptus Essential Oil, Kaolin Clay, Non-GMO Xanthan Gum, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Calendula Oil

What can the Dead Sea Mud Mask potentially do for you?

The Barefaced Skincare Dead Sea Mud Mask is meant to help you obtain the kind of skin that has a natural beauty, without the aid of makeup. It can help brighten your complexion and diminish flaws and large pores. It is jacked with anti-oxidants that can help protect your skin from the dangers of free radicals. While purifying your skin and unclogging pores, the Mud Mask also exfoliates and removes oils. It may help build collagen and diminish fine lines and wrinkles. The Mud Mask can improve the texture of your skin and increase tightness; it also may be effective for certain skin conditions, such as acne or psoriasis.

The Mask is super easy to apply! All you have to do is to apply to a cleansed face and neck. Simply massage the mud mask in, carefully going around your eyes and lips. Then, leave the mask on for approximately fifteen minutes. After fifteen minutes, rinse thoroughly with warm water and pat dry. Barefaced Skincare suggests that for best results, you should use the mask once per week.

Right now, you can purchase the Barefaced Dead Sea Mud Mask on Amazon, here, for just $27.98 (per 6 oz. container); if you have Amazon Prime, you will qualify for free shipping. If you are at all unhappy with your purchase, Barefaced Skincare has a 100% money-back guarantee in place, so there is no risk to at least trying this product if you think you might like it!

Sorry that I look miserable in the pictures — that really isn’t the case, I just couldn’t physically smile because the mask was drying onto my face. Now I know I am NEVER investing in botox, because I look like a deer in headlights without a true expression. Overall, I really enjoyed Barefaced Skincare’s Dead Sea Mud Mask. It isn’t the most appealing LOOKING, but if you can get over the initial texture, you will be very pleased. I found that it does not have a strong scent, which I really prefer, if I am going to be leaving a mask on my face for fifteen minutes. It was initially easy to apply, but if you don’t apply it fast enough while massaging, it will start to crack, so work quickly and try not to go over areas you have already gotten. I have super sensitive skin and I did not notice any redness or tingling post-mask, nor did I feel any stinging in my eyes while I had it on (typically this happens to me with facial cleansers and skin peels), so that is a definite plus. It was easy to remove without leaving any mess. I found that the Barefaced Skincare Dead Sea Mud Mask made my skin feel instantly softer. I was glad, because at first I wondered if the thick texture might actually clog my pores and dry my skin out. That did not happen, so if you’re anything like me (with sensitive combination skin) you shouldn’t have to worry.

Over time, as I used this product each week, I feel that I noticed a gradual increase in softness, and maybe even a more balanced skin tone with less redness, though it is hard to pinpoint since I use many facial products. I do feel like my acne has lessened overall, and that my skin feels more firm in the 24 hours post-mask. I don’t have wrinkles yet, but I always like to treat my face preventatively, as I produce low amounts of collagen for my age. I think this mask is a great investment for anyone with any skin type. It would make a wonderful gift, and also would be a lot of fun to do at a sleepover or after a girl’s night out.
